Not all climate summits are created equal. 

Regeneration International’s Oliver Gardiner recently attended “The Inner Dimensions of Climate Change” event in Bangkok, Thailand. The event didn’t kick off with the usual science and policy experts. Instead, the meeting organizers ceded the floor to youth activists working on a range of issues, including biodiversity, indigenous rights, gender equality, regenerative agriculture and deep ecology.

The meeting, organized by the Global Peace Initiative of Women and the Dharma Drum Mountain Buddhist Association, gathered young environmental activists from five continents who came together with a common message: “If we want to reverse the current climate catastrophe, we must reconnect with nature.”
